Imagine One-Touch Dialing
A touch screen phone is only as good as its user interface. With the Glass IP phone, you are able to accomplish with a single touch what used to take minutes (if it was possible at all) on other devices. For example, if you have one call on hold and one active, hitting the “+” sign on the screen conferences these calls. Remember having to read a manual to learn how to conference before?
Our constant mantra during development was: “How can we simplify this? How can we do this same action but with fewer touches?” It wasn’t easy, but years of development and refinement have created what will be the future of telephony.
With the Glass IP phone you can:
- Place frequently called numbers right on the home screen
- Scroll through your cell phone’s contacts with the flick of a finger
- Transfer with a single touch
- Share your PC screen instantly with the person you are talking to
The list goes on. The Glass IP phone isn’t just friendlier; it’s faster. Nobody’s time is well-spent reading manuals and pushing buttons…
8.9” Touch Screen
There are two major types of touch screen technologies: resistive and capacitive. You have probably used both although you may not have known the difference.
Resistive touch screens (found in airport check-in kiosks etc…) are older less expensive technology. Resistive screens can work well, but their necessity for an opaque overlay and more forceful touch mean both the view and the usability are less than ideal.
Capacitive touch screens (iPhone, the Glass IP phone): are the latest in touch screen technology. They can sense even they slightest brush or touch of a finger, and because you can use a glass overlay, the screen looks crystal clear.
