Metaswitch Forum 2011, Las Vegas, NV (October 3, 2011) - CloudTC, a software innovator in business applications and IP telephony, today announced that the CloudTC Glass 1000, the industry’s smartest IP phone, now includes a visual voicemail application that is fully compatible with the Metaswitch VoIP solution. The announcement was made at the Metaswitch Forum 2011, the annual gathering of the Metaswitch user community, taking place from October 3-6. Senior executives from CloudTC are here in booth #301 demonstrating the unique attributes of this fully integrated, smart IP communications platform for the enterprise.

“We are excited to return to the Metaswitch Forum to show the exciting enhancements to the Glass 1000 smart IP phone, including adding support for visual voicemail based on the Metaswitch CommPortal Mobile application,” said Cheryln Chin, CloudTC vice president of marketing. “Since successfully completing interoperability testing and becoming a Metaswitch Mosaic Certified Partner earlier this year, we have seen significant interest in the Glass 1000 from Metaswitch users and look forward to meeting with them at this year’s Forum.”

Visual voicemail (voicemail with a visual interface that enables a user to select from a list of messages for playback and obtain a transcript of each message) is an indispensable business tool for mobile phone users, and Glass now brings it to the desktop. Market research firm Synovate surveyed 800 subscribers and found that 75% of the respondents find visual voicemail “somewhat-to-extremely interesting,” with over one-third stating they would retrieve more messages if using visual voicemail. This popular feature joins a long list of capabilities that Metaswitch customers are able to access on the Glass 1000:

Solution combines carrier-grade VoIP platform with intuitive Android-based smart IP phone

San Francisco, CA and Palo Alto, CA (September12, 2011) - 2600hz and CloudTC today announced the integration of Whistle, the distributed scalable VoIP platform, with the CloudTC Glass 1000, the industry’s smartestIP phone. The combined solution offers enterprise users enhanced business productivity apps such as teleconferencing and call transcription, alongside advanced telephony features such as one-touch dialing and instant screen sharing. The two companies will demonstrate this powerful business communications solution at the upcoming ITEXPO West in Austin, Texas, at booth #210, from September 13-15. In addition, 2600hz is now an authorized distributor of CloudTC Glass smart IP phones, and will begin offering this integrated solution through a beta program to its VoIP carrier customers.

“We are excited to partner with CloudTC and enable business customers to deploy a hosted VoIP solution faster while spending less time managing infrastructure,” said 2600hz CEO and co-founder Darren Schreiber. “Whistle and Glass make an unbeatable combination.”

Whistle is a carrier-grade, distributed VoIP applications platform that provides the security and scalability of a hosted solution for organizations ranging from small businesses to the largest enterprises. The CloudTC Glass 1000 incorporates the benefits of the Android operating system, combining voice calls with advanced productivity features. VoIP software providers like 2600hz have enthusiastically embraced Glass because of its benefits of requiring less time to market, lower investment in R&D, and the ability to customize phone features as well as application suites for business users. An example is the 2600hz Hosted Conferencing whApp (Whistle App), which allows the conference call host to view a pop-up display on the Glass 1000 8.9 inch high-resolution color touchscreen LCD. The display lists all conference call participants and enables the host to manage the call by muting speakers, splitting calls into subgroups, or removing disruptive callers.

“The Hosted Conferencing whApp is a perfect feature to illustrate the advanced capabilities that make the Glass 1000 unique,” said Anthony Gioeli, CloudTC Chief Executive Officer. “Our large color touchscreen, intuitive user interface, and high-quality, high definition audio all combine to transform the mundane conference call into an efficient and manageable experience.”

To learn more about this powerful business communications solution, please contact 2600hz at info@2600hz.com and (415) 886-7915, or CloudTC at info@cloudtc.com and (650) 238-5203.

Palo Alto, Calif. (August 2, 2011) - CloudTC, a software innovator in business applications and IP telephony, today announced the interoperability of the CloudTC Glass 1000, the industry’s smartest IP phone, with BroadSoft’s BroadWorks® voice application server.

Palo Alto, Calif. (June 2, 2011) - Cloud Telecomputers, a software innovator in business applications and IP telephony, today announced that Glass, its unique Android-based platform for desktop business Smartphones, has successfully completed interoperability testing with Metaswitch Networks, a multi-award winning supplier of next generation infrastructure and applications to network, and is now Partner Certified.

“We are pleased to welcome Cloud Telecomputers’ Glass platform to the growing list of Metaswitch Mosaic Certified solutions,” said Stefan Knight, VP Strategic Alliances at Metaswitch Networks. “By certifying Glass through the Mosaic Program, we ensure that Metaswitch customers gain access to a highly-advanced communications platform that complements our hosted PBX solution.”

The Glass platform offers Metaswitch customers unique features that enable their businesses to save money and increase productivity. Examples include:

One-Touch Dialing – contacts are integrated into the easy-to-use Glass touchscreen, so frequently-performed tasks like looking up contacts and initiating conference calls are all at the tip of a finger.

Instant screen sharing – anything displayed on a user’s PC, such as a presentation or spreadsheet, can be instantly shared via a Web browser using the Glass platform. Glass accelerates communications.

Business Applications Marketplace – the recently-launched CloudTC Apps Marketplace makes it easy to find and download the apps that business users want to access from their deskphones.

The 8.9” high resolution (1024 x 600) capacitive touch color display enables users to take full advantage of the SIP features of the Glass IP phone. Increased productivity and ease of use are central to the Glass user interface, designed to allow the majority of everyday business tasks to be accomplished with just one touch. Metaswitch customers will appreciate the Glass intuitive user interface and customized versions of commonly-used business applications, such as salesforce.com and FedEx.

“Metaswitch customers can now experience Glass, the first truly smart IP phone,” said Cheryln Chin, VP Marketing at Cloud Telecomputers. “They can now enjoy all the rich enterprise telephony capabilities they are used to, combined with the Smartphone-like functionality and flexibility of the Glass platform.”

Cloud Telecomputers will begin shipping mass-produced phones to customers in Europe, Asia, and North America in the summer of 2011. Infrastructure vendors, OEMs, systems integrators, and VoIP service providers have enthusiastically embraced Glass because of the benefits of requiring less time to market, lower investment in R&D, and ability to customize phone features and application suites for business users. Because the Glass platform runs on the Android OS, it offers applications providers the benefits of an open development environment, flexibility and scalability, and the ability to integrate their applications with unique calling features and a large user screen.

Industry veterans Anthony Gioeli and Robert C. Hagerty bring decades of experience in technology and innovation as company plans expansion and new partnerships

Palo Alto, Calif. (June 1, 2011) - Cloud Telecomputers, a software innovator in business applications and IP telephony, today announced that Anthony Gioeli has been named President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Gioeli replaces Walter Kortschak, who has served as interim CEO and will continue in his role as Co-chairman. In addition to his role as President and CEO, Mr. Gioeli will serve on Cloud Telecomputer’s board of directors. The company also announced that Robert C. Hagerty, the former President and CEO of Polycom, has joined the Cloud Telecomputers board of directors.

“We are proud and excited to welcome Anthony and Robert to Cloud Telecomputers,” said Jim Willenborg, founder and co-chairman. “Anthony’s proven experience in managing technology start-ups to profitable growth and Robert’s visionary tenure as leader of the world’s leading voice and video conferencing company are vital as Cloud Telecomputers continues its upward trajectory.”

Before joining Cloud Telecomputers, Gioeli was EVP, Sales and Marketing at PanTerra Networks, a leading provider of cloud-based unified communications. He also was CEO of several successful technology ventures including Atrua Technologies and AirPrime, Inc. Previously, Gioeli served as VP of Xircom’s worldwide OEM business, which he established and grew to over $200 million in global sales by creating partnerships with leading notebook PC vendors including Compaq, Dell, HP, IBM and Toshiba.

“I am excited to be joining the talented team at Cloud Telecomputers as we redefine office communications,” said Gioeli. “The company has received enormous positive interest from the global OEM market, VC community, and technology thought leaders. Along with our upcoming platform launch, I plan to leverage this momentum to build a truly innovative, industry leader.”

Hagerty joins the Cloud Telecomputers board of directors from a successful 13-year tenure at Polycom, where he demonstrated visionary leadership by solidifying the company’s dominance of the videoconferencing market through the creation of world-class service and distribution channels, and by applying entrepreneurial skills to manage business growth. Prior to Polycom, Hagerty served as President of Stylus Assets, Ltd. and held key management positions with Logitech, Conner Peripherals, and Digital Equipment Corporation.

“I look forward to working with my fellow board members and the Cloud Telecomputers management team to explore new opportunities for the business,” said Hagerty. “During my time at Polycom, I witnessed first-hand how a disruptive technology can vastly enhance productivity and change the marketplace – Cloud Telecomputers’ Glass platform has the potential to do that and more.”

Cloud Telecomputers will begin shipping mass-produced phones to customers in Europe, Asia, and North America in the summer of 2011.
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (October 21, 2010) – Cloud Telecomputers, a software innovator in business applications and IP telephony, today announced that it will be exhibiting Glass, its unique Android-based platform for desktop business smartphones, at Astricon 2010 in National Harbor, Maryland from October 26-28.

“Cloud Telecomputer’s Glass platform has the potential to change the way we look at desk phones,” said Jon Arnold, Principal at J Arnold & Associates. “Its powerful combination of business applications, integrated voice communications, and cutting-edge design will be a strong draw for enterprise users.”

The Glass platform has been enhanced since its well-received launch last year to include unique upgrades that enable businesses to save money and increase productivity. Examples include:

Tap to dial – by integrating contacts into the desk phone, users can locate numbers and place calls in less time. Users can even tap to dial a phone number directly from a Web page or email message.

Instant screen sharing – anything displayed on a user’s PC, such as a presentation or spreadsheet, can be instantly shared via a Web browser using the Glass platform. Glass accelerates communications.

Caller data display – caller data from LinkedIn, salesforce.com, and other CRM systems is instantly displayed, so the user has all the information at his fingertips without having to conduct a search.

Senior executives from Cloud Telecomputers will be demonstrating these and other exciting new features available on the Glass platform at the seventh annual AstriCon, the official conference for Asterisk, the world’s leading open source PBX, telephony engine, and telephony applications toolkit. Glass now includes an 8.9” capacitive touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity, and visual voicemail. Attendees will be able to experience the Glass intuitive user interface and test customized versions of commonly-used business applications, such as salesforce.com and Fedex, at Cloud Telecomputers’ booth #324.

“We are very pleased at the strong response Glass has received among members of the IP communications industry and look forward to demonstrating this innovative platform for members of the Asterisk community,” said Jim Willenborg, Cloud Telecomputers founder and chairman. “Glass brings the desk phone into the 21st century and renders all traditional methods of business communications obsolete.”

Cloud Telecomputers launched the Glass platform in August 2009 and began shipping phones to customers in Europe, Asia, and North America in the third quarter of 2010.

If needed, you can also erase a query by crossing it horizontally: left to right erases the entire query, and right to left removes the last letter or space in the query. Now you can either scroll down the list to find Anne or write more letters to refine the search.

At the show, senior executives from Cloud Telecomputers will be demonstrating these and other exciting new features available on the Glass platform. Glass now includes an 8.9” capacitive touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity, and visual voicemail. Attendees will be able to experience the Glass intuitive user interface and test customized versions of commonly-used business applications, such as salesforce.com and Fedex, at booth #16 at the Metaswitch Forum.

“We are excited to introduce Glass to the Metaswitch user community and demonstrate this innovative platform which enables customized, integrated phone features and applications for businesses,” said Jim Willenborg, Cloud Telecomputers founder and chairman. “Glass brings the desk phone into the 21st century and renders all traditional methods of business communications obsolete.”

Cloud Telecomputers launched the Glass platform in August 2009 and began shipping phones to customers in Europe, Asia, and North America in the third quarter of 2010.
